<description> My wife, Monica, took this photo of the 59 Diner that was located at I-10 near
Chimney Rock in Houston, TX. It has since been demolished and relocated at 1-10 and Beltway 8
(further west) in Houston, TX. This is a special painting because this 59 Diner was the place
where Monica and I ate dinner on our first date.

<description> I took a photo of this bowling alley sign in Corsicana, TX. I loved the shape

<description> Wouldn't it be weird if a fish with just bones would still be attracted to a
fish hook? A fish hook with no bait. That fish would be disappointed. Imagine the frugal
fisherman who would be disappointed at his catch of a fish with just bones and no meat?
A dartboard is a target for some goal or game (perhaps the fisherman's goal or game).
Perhaps the fisherman decided to hang a wood plaque of his fish hook instead of a trophy of
the fish that he or she caught.

<description> I took a photo of this motel sign in Junction, TX.
I was attracted to the shape of the sign and the texture of the peeling paint on the sign.
I like the way the sign seems to stretch out to the road to attract attention from motorists.
The sign brings back memories of staying at hotels on family vacations. Color tv and a clean pool were always welcome ammenities.
When I taught high school art, a group of teachers would go to Junction, TX for art workshops.
The Kimble Motel is in Junction, Tx.

<description> I thought it would be interesting if I started with an aqua and lime green striped background pattern
and a dartboard. Then, I thought, wouldn't it be odd to have a Van Gogh painting on a dartboard. And what if the girl was looking

She had books in front of her, but she doesn't seem interested in reading at the time. A fish goes by and says "Hello" or
